RAISING STANDARDS OF EDUCATION THROUGH QUALITY TRAINING
Ashton on Mersey School was designated the first DfES Training School in Trafford in September 2003. This followed on from becoming a Specialist Sports College and the only Secondary Modern Specialist Beacon School in the country in 1998. The last three Ofsted inpections described Ashton as an 'Outstanding School' and we have been included twice in the Chief Inspector's annual 'Honours List' of consistently high achieving schools. Only 21 secondary schools in the country have been included three times. |
