Mr Andrew Shakos, Executive Headteacher

On behalf of the Ashton on Mersey school community, I am very proud to introduce you to our school. Whilst Ashton on Mersey continues to be one of the most successful, popular and over-subscribed schools in Trafford, our dedicated team of teaching and support staff recognise the importance of maintaining high expectations, high standards and personal continued professional development in order to provide the best educational environment for our pupils.

At Ashton on Mersey, we neither underestimate, nor take for granted, the importance of our role in providing a learning experience where each child can make excellent progress in their academic and social development. As a parent myself, I am passionate and committed to providing the best educational experience for all our pupils so that they can believe in themselves, achieve academic and social outcomes for which they can be proud, and succeed in securing learning and career pathways that meet the highest aspirations.
