Ashton 27 Triathlon

Home / News / Ashton 27 Triathlon

On Saturday, some teachers competed in all or part of the inaugural Ashton on Mersey Triathlon.  The theme was 27 due to the fact that MacMillan Nurses cost £27 per hour, hence a 2.7km swim, 27 mile cycle and a 27km run.

Despite the forecast the weather was kind to us and it only rained when we were in the pool.  After that the conditions were perfect as the teachers completed each section, many of them swimming/cycling/running more than they ever had before.

The fundraising currently stands at over £800 with money from all the form groups still to come in by the end of this week. The school would like to thank St. Ambrose College for their support in letting us use their pool for the event.
